Introduction
For the purposes of these terms and conditions and all policies within this website, in referring to ''we'' or ''us'' this means 'Scootles' and referring to ''you'' this means you 'the customer'.
These terms and conditions cover the sale of all our goods and will govern any contract for sale that we enter into with no exception. Please ensure that you read these terms and conditions carefully before placing an order.
If using this site you hereby agree that we reserve the right to terminate any agreement or contract between yourselves and us without any penalty. In this event we shall refund any payments already paid by you to us with reference to the particular agreement or contract.
If any part of these terms and conditions is deemed unenforceable or we fail to enforce, this will not affect the forcibility or our right to enforce any other part.
We reserve the right to change any part of these terms and conditions without prior notice to you.
These terms and conditions also cover all policies within the website 'scootles.co.uk'.
All orders are treated as a request for goods. All requests are subject to availability and price change. We will confirm availability and order price by email after your order has been placed.
These terms and conditions do not affect your statutory rights under UK law.

Your use of any of these linked sites or services will not be covered by these terms and conditions but rather by the terms and conditions of that particular site. We cannot be held responsible for the content, or accuracy of these sites or the information contained within them. Neither can we be held responsible if such links contain content that may cause you distress, loss or damage.
We reserve the right to change, amend or remove any of the content or operations of the website. We may also suspend or cancel any offers or service provision without prior notice to you.


Product representation
All of our products are genuine. We do not sell replicas, fakes or 'knock-offs'. Although some styles of our products may resemble well-known designs they are not intended as copies or to 'pass-off' as such designs. We do not support the selling of replicas or fakes, as we believe this to be detrimental to the design industry. If you unsure, ask us.
We endeavour to ensure that product images, descriptions, specifications and colour representations offer a fair approximation of the actual product and colouring. Before launching a product line on the site we check a sample product to ensure that we are satisfied with the quality and likeness of the images we use. However, settings and variations in PCs and PC Monitors (over which we have no control) may cause slight changes in colour, however we endeavour to ensure this doesn't happen.
Many of our items are made from leather. You must accept that the very nature of leather as a natural product may mean there may be colour or texture variations. This will not be considered as a fault of the product.
If you are unhappy with the product representation for any reason you may return your goods as per our returns policy.


Supply of goods
We endeavour to ensure that all items shown on the website are in stock, however, orders are subject to the availability of these goods at the time the order is received. If the items you place an order upon are out of stock we will inform you by email. We will do our upmost to inform you when stock of that item will be available or will offer you an alternative product. If we cannot supply the goods we will refund you of any monies already paid for the related order. However, we will not be able to compensate you for any other losses incurred if we cannot fulfil the order.


Pricing
All prices shown are in GB Pounds £ Sterling . Goods will be sold at the price stipulated at the time you place the order. We reserve the right to change, amend or adjust any price at any time. If due to an error or omission in the price details on the website at the time of ordering we will email you the correct price and give you the opportunity to cancel your order.
You will only own the goods once we have received payment in full.


Payment
For your added convenience we are happy to offer you two options for payment; HSBC ePayment system or PayPal. For the upmost online payment security HSBC Bank plc manages our card processing payment transactions on our behalf through their Secure ePayments Card Processing Service. For terms and conditions related to the ePayment service please contact HSBC Bank plc. PayPal offers you further payment flexibility if you have a PayPal account, please contact them directly for their terms and conditions.


Accepted payment methods
HBSC ePayments can accept payment by the following methods: MasterCard, Visa, Visa Electron, Visa Debit ( UK issued only), Switch/Maestro ( UK issued only) and Solo.
Furthermore PayPal can accept payments via AMEX or Discover card.
We cannot accept payment by cheque.
We can only accept payment from you if you are an authorised user of the credit or debit cards you use to pay for your order. You need to check that there are sufficient funds available to cover the cost of your purchase before placing your order.
We do not allow payment by post for security reasons.


Crime and Fraud
HSBC Bank plc manage our ePayments service and are a world-renowned bank. HSBC utilise the latest anti-fraud procedures to combat fraudulent purchases using stolen or falsified credit or debit card details. All orders placed with us are checked in detail for authenticity before we despatch any goods. We work closely with our ePayments provider to verify names, addresses and card numbers to protect law-abiding customers as well as ourselves from possible fraudulent transactions. Our ePayment service may therefore require additional details from you such as your card security code or your 'Verified by Visa' code, or MasterCard SecureCode. Please ensure that your card is registered at the same address that you give us as your billing address. We and HSBC Card Processing, reserve the right to refuse any order we believe has been placed using stolen or false card details, and will inform the relevant authorities. The HSBC ePayment system will take the money from your account as soon as you place the order, this will be reflected immediately in your balance. This is to ensure funds are secured for your purchase.


Receipt of Purchase
Once you have successfully placed your online order with us and your payment details have been accepted, we will send you an email confirming your order request with a payment summary. This receipt is your proof of purchase and you should print and keep for your records.


Delivery
We will strive to deliver goods within the times stated, however, despatch times may vary depending on product availability. We cannot guarantee our delivery times, any dates we specify will be approximate only. We cannot be held liable for any losses or expenses caused by any delay of delivery of the goods. We will always endeavour to advise you by email if any delay should occur. Should delivery be delayed for more that 21 days you have the right to contact us and cancel your order for a full refund. Delivery is calculated based upon the total weight of your order(s). You can see a summary of the appropriate delivery charge by clicking the View Cart button at the top of the page. Some of our products cannot be shipped outside of the UK due to high shipping costs by weight or for licensing reasons. If you would like further clarification please contact us.
We uphold the right to make any changes to our delivery prices at any time and to withdraw any delivery offers without prior notice.
Please note below:

Scootles cannot be held responsible for any customs or import duties that are levied once the package leaves the UK mainland. The receiving customer must pay any additional charges for customs clearance. Scootles has no control over these charges and cannot advise what they may be. Customs policies vary widely from country to country; you may wish to contact your local customs office for further information and advice.

Scootles cannot be held responsible for late, delayed or non-delivery of goods ordered once they have been entrusted to our delivery company. However, once notified by the customer we will do all we can to deal promptly and efficiently with the unlikely event of a delivery problem.

We reserve the right to alter and change the delivery charges, methods and suppliers we use.
Scootles are based in the UK therefore all of our products are priced in pounds. You can use your credit/debit card as normal when paying for goods and your card suppliers will convert this into your local currency using their own exchange rate.

* Our delivery will most likely be via the Recorded (Signed For) delivery service. This means that a postal officer will require a signature on delivery as proof of your receipt of the goods. If you or someone else cannot be available during the day to receive the package(s) on your behalf please contact us immediately after placing your order to either provide us with another address to deliver to or to nominate a post office for you to collect from.
Please note that a signature taken at any of your given addresses will be taken as proof of delivery. Neither Scootles nor our delivery partners can accept any responsibility or liability should the package or packages go missing thereafter.
Should packages be returned to Scootles as undelivered a charge will apply to re-deliver the package.
Should you cancel your order after a failed delivery - you, the customer will be charged for the original delivery charges.

Once you have accepted delivery of the goods (or your nominated recipient or signatory at delivery address given) you will be responsible for them. Please therefore ensure that you give a delivery address that has a person that you are happy to sign for your delivery. If goods arrive faulty or damaged, or you have received the wrong item(s) in error you must inform us within 48 hours as per our returns policy.
Free Delivery offer. The free delivery offer is discretionary and may be changed at any time. If purchases are cancelled or returned for refund making the final order total less than £50, delivery may be charged. We reserve the right to remove this offer at any time.
Discount codes are used at our discretion and cannot be combined.

RETURNS POLICY
Return or Exchange
To ensure that you receive your order in perfect condition all goods are thoroughly checked before packing and dispatch. However, if you are not satisfied with your purchase you can return the goods to us within 7 days of receipt* for exchange or refund. Please note all returns must meet our return criteria before returning to us.
Incorrect Item received
Please notify us as soon as possible (preferably within 48 hours) if an incorrect item has been received. Please note we cannot accept return of such items if they have been used or altered in any way.
Faulty Item
If the item you have received is faulty please contact us by email within 48 hours of receipt quoting your order number; your name, address and contact details; product details and reason for return. Please also advise us whether you require a refund or replacement. We will then contact you to advise how to proceed with the return.
Please note all returns must meet our return criteria before returning to us.
Cancellation
You have the right to cancel your order from Scootles for a full refund. Cancellations must be made in writing quoting either your order number or Name and Delivery Address. You can write to us at the address below or email us. We will then cancel your order and refund the amount you paid to the card you paid with. If the item has already been dispatched please follow the Change of Mind Policy Instructions.
Please note all returns must meet our return criteria before returning to us.
Change of Mind Policy
Scootles are happy to offer a Change of Mind Policy on our products. If you decide that you no longer want your purchase you must:
1. Contact us in writing quoting either your order number or Name and Delivery Address, and state why you are returning the item.
2. Ensure that the product is received by us with 7 days of your receiving* the product.
If the returned item(s) meet our return criteria, we will refund the amount you paid, MINUS postage and packaging costs, to the card you paid with. Scootles reserve the right to charge an admin fee for returned items under the Free Delivery offer to cover costs. For more details please contact us.

Return Criteria
If returning goods they must be:
1. Unused. We are unable to accept the return of any item where there is evidence of use.
2. In any original packaging. This means any labels, wrapping or boxes from the brand or manufacturer and does not include outer wrapping materials used by us to send your goods.
All items are your responsibility until they reach us. For your protection we recommend that you send your item(s) using a delivery service that insures you for the value of the goods.
We can only refund the amount that you paid us for your order.
Returns on Free Product promotions:
Occasionally we run a free product promotion where if you purchase certain goods you receive a free product. If any of the goods purchased (which enabled the free product) are returned then the free product must be returned also (unless the returned item is for exchange for like for like if faulty). The free product is only available when the prescribed items have been purchased and kept. The free product is also only subject to availability.
Please note due to hygiene reasons, earrings cannot be returned.

* Receipt of goods is deemed as from the date of the first attempted delivery by our agents.
This returns policy does not affect your statutory rights.


Luggage Warranty Information
Hideo Wakamatsu and Eminent guarantee their products against possible defects in material and workmanship.
The warranty period depends on the product, and is always mentioned on the Guarantee Certificate. The guarantee does not affect your statutory rights. Manufacturing specifications may be subject to change without notice.
The locks provided are intended only to prevent accidental opening and cannot necessarily prevent theft of contents.

The guarantee is limited to the value of the product. It does not cover any damage caused by misuse or neglect, accidents, abrasion, exposure to extreme temperatures, solvents, acids, water, normal wear and tear or transport damage (by airlines for example).

They will advise you on repair and undertake it for you at a reasonable charge.

Inspect your luggage immediately after it has been handled by an airline company. When damaged, submit a claim to the airline (which is insured against damaging your luggage) at the place of arrival, if possible before clearing customs.

The order confirmation email contains the date of purchase which defines the beginning of the guarantee.
Defaults arising after the expiry of the guarantee period can be repaired with payment, depending on the availability of parts.

Free Small Suitcase Offer
The free small suitcase offer is strictly subject to availability and may be withdrawn at any time at our discretion. The offer is only applicable when a large and medium suitcase of the same make, model, design and colour are purchased at the same time, this qualifies for a free small sized suitcase of the same make, model, design and colour. This offer cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers (for example 5% discounts) This offer is only applicable for UK Mainland customers. For more information email us.

Privacy Policy
In some cases our suppliers deliver products directly to you on our behalf, in these cases we will need to supply your name and delivery address and contact number for shipping purposes only. In the event that you fraudulently use our Payment system (using stolen or false card details) we may have to pass your details onto relevant authorities. Other that this we will not disclose your name, addresses, email address or telephone number to any 3 rd party unless we have been authorised by you, have informed you or are required to do so by law. This is governed by the Data Protection Act 1998. We do not sell or trade any information about our customers for marketing purposes. What we use your details for:
1. Delivery purposes (sometimes other companies will be delivering to you on our behalf).
2. Payment for your goods (this will be passed onto HSBC Bank plc or PayPal for payment transaction).
Information we will collect for these purposes:

2. Your home and delivery addresses (if different)
3. Your contact number
4. Your email address
5. Credit/debit card details
6. Security code if applicable.
We do not hold any of your card details as our payment processors HSBC Bank plc and PayPal manage this on our behalf. If you are concerned about any of this or have any questions please contact us.
